I spoke at an event co-hosted by the Disability Federation Ireland and Galway Chamber Ireland which welcomed Minister Ann Rabbitte. The theme of the event was “Powered by Inclusion” and I participated in a panel discussion about employee retention.
I was interviewed as a Finalist in the Network Galway Businesswoman’s Awards. The Judges were well prepared with their questions, and I will know the outcome on June 11th – Best of luck to all the other Finalists!
I love to learn new things – on May 24th I attended a very interesting conference hosted by the Vocational Rehabilitation Association on Breaking Down Barriers: How vocational rehabilitation tackles challenges to gaining and maintaining work. It covered a wide range of topics from disclosure to supporting employees with complex needs to the impact of substance abuse disorders.
